SHOP POLICY AND INFO

OUR FIRST PRIORITY IS PROVIDING THE BEST POSSIBLE TATTOO EXPERIENCE.

THAT MEANS TRANSPARENCY IS KEY.

We want you to know as much about the tattooing process as possible before you come so that your experience is seamless and worry-free. Please make sure you are aware of the following:

  • Painted Temple Tattoo adheres to Arizona state law, national guidelines, as well as established best practices acquired over 20 years of tattooing.

Painted Temple Tattoo will only tattoo individuals over the age of 18 who must provide valid government-issued identification. While AZ law permits tattooing for minors with parental consent, we believe individuals getting tattooed should be legal, consenting adults.

Painted Temple Tattoo does not perform tattoo services for any individuals who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This is for your safety and our artists.

Painted Temple Tattoo will not tattoo individuals who are pregnant or nursing. This is for the safety of the individual and the child.

Our employees are committed to the utmost in professional conduct. We ask our guests to respect our shop and employees. Any abusive behavior or language will not be tolerated.

We ask that our guests complete a legal waiver prior to their appointment. Please be upfront about any medical conditions prior to beginning. Guests who may have certain communicable conditions may not be able to be tattooed, and this is ultimately up to the discretion of the shop.

  • Painted Temple Tattoo are firm supporters of free speech, however, we will not perform any tattoo services for individuals seeking any type of offensive art.  This is subject to the interpretation of the shop, and includes, but is not limited to: racist or hateful symbols or slogans, imagery glorifying occult practice, profane language, images or language promoting the use of drugs.

Painted Temple Tattoo will not openly replicate the work of other tattoo artists.

Guests are permitted to bring one person to accompany them if they so choose.

Please do not bring any children for your appointment.

Please limit any food or drink to bottled water while inside the shop. All other food and drink are permissible while not in the tattoo workspace.

Painted Temple Tattoo is a smoke, alcohol, and drug-free environment.

  • We do not provide price quotes online or over the phone. We only schedule consultations. Please bring any pertinent information and reference material to your consultation.

Tattooing is a collaborative process. We want to bring your vision to life, but we also want to give you a quality tattoo that will look good and hold up long after you are tattooed. Please work with our artists to ensure you get what you want and that it will last.

If you schedule an appointment to be tattooed, you will be given an approximate cost at that time, and a 25% deposit will be required to book your appointment. This deposit will go towards the final price and will not be included in the balance after the completion of your tattoo.

Cancellations must be communicated 72 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. Any cancellations made after that will be financially responsible for 50% of the balance for the scheduled appointment, due immediately.

Prices are subject to change based on any changes during the tattoo process, and any changes will be clearly communicated to our guests prior to beginning the tattoo.

If for any reason a tattoo must be stopped due to the abusive conduct of a guest, they are financially responsible for the full balance of the tattoo, regardless if the piece is completed.

  • Painted Temple Tattoo adheres to state laws and acknowledged guidelines according to the Alliance of Professional Tattooists.

All artists use single-use needles. No needles are ever re-used and are properly disposed of and collected via Sharps protocols.

All inks, while stored in bottles, are poured into individual ink caps, and all inks used during the appointment are disposed of and never re-used or added back to stored inks.

All artists use proper barrier-based protection during the tattoo process, using non-allergenic gloves.

Components of the tattooing process are used with multiple customers. These items are tubes and machines.

All tubes are properly cleaned following appointments, using strict germicidal protocols, and sterilized in a certified inspected autoclave. This is the same sterilization process used in medical facilities to clean their tools.

Tattoo machines are covered during the tattoo process and are cleaned using strict germicidal protocols following each appointment.

All precautions are taken to ensure no cross-contamination during the tattoo process. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
